TALKING AT THE SAME TIME
Talking at the Same Time by THE DANCE ENSEMBLE – Performance Group for people aged 50+
Choreographed by Philippa Donnellan for 20 dance participants.
From January to March 2014, 20 participants of CoisCéim’s dance classes 50+ worked with Choreographer Philippa Donnellan on TALKING AT THE SAME TIME. Set to a song of the same name by magnificent singer Tom Waits, this original dance theatre piece magnifies the allure of being centre stage, like a soloist in the spotlight drawn to the light as a moth to a flamecreat.

CURTAIN RAISERS
This creative programme ran in parallel with CoisCéim Dance Theatre/David Bolger’s production AGNES which portrayed the life and work of Agnes Bernelle and the enormous influence she had on the Irish theatre and cabaret scenes of the late 70’s and 80’s. The two pieces created with Creative Steps and the Dance Ensemble were presented as curtain raisers to the performances of AGNES at Project Arts Centre in March 2014.
