CoisCéim Cinematheque
COISCÉIM CINEMATHEQUE is a new gateway to world-class dance on screen. It is a curated programme of special screenings of dance works for film and 180 degree virtual reality by CoisCéim Dance Theatre and its global peers.
FROM LOCAL TO GLOBAL: COISCÉIM CINEMATHEQUE gives local residents and wider communities opportunities to discover and enjoy gems from one of the world's most diverse and accessible artforms in surprising and unexpected ways.
Funded by the Arts Council Ireland and Dublin City Council, the initiative currently features partnerships with Micromedia, Numeridanse and with Epson to push the boundaries of projection innovation and how we experience the arts.
Partners
Epson Ireland

The company is focused on solving societal issues through innovations in home and office printing, commercial and industrial printing, manufacturing, visual and lifestyle. Epson will become carbon negative and eliminate use of exhaustible underground resources such as oil and metal by 2050. In 2024, local subsidiary Epson Ireland partnered with us to enable the projection capabilities for Palimpsest and DanceHall Blues, where each party worked in unison to explore new boundaries for projection in the arts.
Micromedia
Micromedia specialises in the promotion of music, culture and attuned brands on digital screens & billboards through a unique location mix nationwide. They deliver wide reaching accountable campaigns and are sustainably conscious in their approach.
Numeridanse
Numeridanse is the first video platform entirely dedicated to dance. Free and open to all, it offers a unique collection of videos, including filmed performances, documentaries, interviews, as well as short and feature films. All dance genres, styles, and forms are represented, providing a comprehensive overview of the richness and diversity of choreographic heritage.
To deepen the exploration and understanding of dance, Numeridanse features thematic dossiers and contextual resources. The platform is also a dynamic space where online events are regularly organized.
Our mission: to make an invaluable choreographic heritage accessible to as many people as possible.
Our ambition: to be an essential tool serving the world of dance—its artists, its audience, cultural professionals, and educators.
The Numeridanse project was conceived by writer, filmmaker, and videographer Charles Picq. A visionary artist, he recognized the importance of filming dance as early as the 1980s. He quickly became a close collaborator of the Maison de la Danse, the Biennale de la Danse, and numerous artists (Michel Kelemenis, Carolyn Carlson, Dominique Bagouet, Susanne Linke, Régine Chopinot, Andy Degroat…).
