Ruth Hickey
Ruth Hickey is a communications, advocacy and fundraising leader with over 20 years’ experience across the non-profit, healthcare and social impact sectors. She works in disability inclusion, leading national strategy and engagement to advance inclusion and opportunity, with a strong focus on ESG and government policy alignment.
Before her leadership career, Ruth was an accomplished clarinettist, performing with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Crash Ensemble and in productions at the Abbey Theatre. A former member of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, she brings both professional expertise and a personal connection to her role as a Non-Executive Director, supporting NYOI’s mission to empower young people through music.
