
Raymond Keane
Raymond is a founder member of Barabbas...the company with Veronica Coburn and Mikel Murfi. Barabbas primarily devises and scripts original work and has produced COME DOWN FROM THE MOUNTAIN, JOHN CLOWN, JOHN CLOWN; HALF EIGHT MASS OF A TUESDAY; SICK DYING DEAD BURIED OUT; OUT THE BACK DOOR and STROKEHAULING. Barabbas also produced a five-actor version of MACBETH and a four-actor version of THE WHITE HEADED BOY both under the direction of Gerard Stembridge. THE WHITE HEADED BOY was nominated for Best Production in the 1998 Irish Times/ESB Theatre Awards and the "Cream of Kilkenny" Awards '98. Barabbas has also collaborated with the Abbey Theatre. As a performer, Raymond has extensive experience as a writer/actor and puppeteer in theatre and television. Barabbas's award winning clown films (Celtic Film Festival) can be seen nightly on TnaG. Raymond appears in two feature films THE BOY FROM MERCURY and SWEETY BARRETT.
