
Cathy Coughlan
Supported by Arts Council Ireland Cathy Coughlan trained as a professional dancer in the UK (1994-97) and continued her education with The National College of Art and Design (Fine Art Sculpture). Since graduating from NCAD in 2005 Cathy has worked as an independent artist, producer, director and project manager with some of Ireland’s leading artists and arts organisations. From 2020-2025 she worked at Project Arts Centre, as Head of Project Potential. In this position she developed a programme of work that centred the voices of underrepresented artists and communities, and established a variety of initiatives that opened up the artistic programme, building and organisation. Cathy regularly works as an access & EDI consultant for other arts organisations and has delivered talks, panels and workshops for the Arts Council, ADI and Create among others.
