Andrea Rampazzo
Andrea Rampazzo is a dance artist, performer and choreographer based in Italy. After attending ‘Arsenale della Danza - Centro di perfezionamento della Danza Contemporanea’ at Biennale of Venice, he collaborates among others with Ismael Ivo, Virgilio Sieni, Artemis Danza, Cie Déjà Donné and Silvia Gribaudi. Since 2018, he is an Associate Artist of ZEBRA. Supported by CSC in Bassano del Grappa, he takes part in international research and creation dance projects such as “Duo à trois voix”, a partnership between CSC – Bassano del Grappa and Circuit-Est centre choréographique Montréal, and “Migrant Bodies – Moving Borders”: a European project that develops an international and shared research focused on identifying, implementing and testing innovative and relevant actions for the inclusion of refugees and migrants through dance initiatives. Inspired by Migrant Bodies project he creates the performances “Just Papers” (2019) and “ZTL - Zona a Traffico Limitato” (2019).
He creates works for stage contexts, site-specific choreographies and participatory performances presented in various theatres and festivals, including the performance RISE (2018) for the open-air museum ArteSella, THIS WALL HAS NO TITLE (2021) created together with Martina La Ragione and AMATEUR SMUGGLERS (2024) created together with Silvia Gribaudi for EN-KNAP Company. His artistic practice is an ongoing exploration of how dance can connect with ourselves and others, generating exchange and dialogue on a truly human level.
