Atemzug by the Toula Limnaios Company
A Dance Film by the Toula Limnaois Company, produced by Inpetto-Film, ZDF/Arte
The first part of a dance-trilogy (2001 – 2003) inspired by Beckett’s ‘Texts for Nothing’, the award- winning choreography ‘Atemzug’, tells of body-strangeness, and the difficulty of being at one with oneself. Toula Limnaios produced this 25 minute film on the basis of her piece ‘Nothing. I want to be there, where I am not’. She re-worked it to capture the feeling and inner meaning of the original choreography on celluloid. Thus Limnaios translates her lyrical choreography into images that are poetic, and extraordinary.
