Nutcracker Tour 2005

CoisCéim Dance Theatre has just completed a nationwide tour of their latest production NUTCRACKER which opened in Project in January. Nutcracker is the first production of 2005 and marks the beginning of the company's 10th birthday celebrations. In this new version by David Bolger the action is set in a modern office where mundane 9 to 5 living is transformed into a magical adventure. The cast included actor Tom Hickey, Lisa McLoughlin as Clara, Robert Jackson as Nutcracker, Aisling Doyle, Diane O'Keeffe, Icleiber Klaus, Miguel Angel, Emma O'Kane, Sascha Engel and Blanca Arrieta. Following a successful run in Dublin NUTCRACKER toured to Siamsa Tire, Tralee; An Grianan, Letterkenny; Backstage Theatre, Longford; Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire; Town Hall, Galway; Mermaid, Bray and Civic Theatre, Tallaght. During the 21 performances, the show was well received by audiences with standing ovations in several venues.
