CoisCéim Dance Theatre to perform in the World Premiere of Madison's Descent in the USA
A new and magical fable devised by Page Allen and Micheál Ó Súilleabháin

Inspired by the book with paintings by American artist Page Allen, Madison's Descent is a contemporary Masque telling a new story about one child's journey down The Great River of Stars on her way to be born.
Music and lyrics are by Micheál Ó Súilleabháin , direction and choreography by David Bolger (CoisCéim Dance Theatre) and production design by Tony Award winner Michael Curry (Broadway's The Lion King ). The production features performances by Italian counter tenor, Angelo Smimmo, saxophonist Kenneth Edge (Riverdance), CoisCéim Dancers Emma O'Kane and Lisa McLoughlin, Micheál Ó Súilleabháin on piano. Alluding to Masque performance of 15th century, Madison's Descent employs song, dance, a chorus of 42 singers based at the Monclaire State University in New Jersey and a chamber orchestra (including piano, strings and two French horns), in combination with unique visual animation by Misha Films. Based on original artwork and character design by Page Allen, Madison's Descent.
