Broadreach
CoisCéim Broadreach was set up in 2006 in response to increasing demand for CoisCéim Dance Theatre to provide dance participation activities.
CoisCéim Broadreach is a dance awareness programme which underpins the work of the main company and draws on CoisCéim’s reputation of creating distinctive, enjoyable and challenging contemporary dance theatre. Broadreach offers a range of dance initiatives which reflect and promote these themes.
Through Broadreach we co-ordinate and lead a variety of dance classes, workshops, courses and projects. Each are planned and implemented in ways specific to the particular context and situation.
Exchange and integration are key concepts with our aim to involve and include people of different ages, experiences, abilities and backgrounds.
As a dance resource led by experienced dance theatre practitioners, Broadreach offers a high standard of artistic and technical expertise and support at all stages of a project from planning to realisation.
CoisCéim Broadreach seeks to work in partnership with other organizations in formal and non-formal educational, social and artistic settings at a local and national level.
Creativity and expression are at the core of CoisCéim Broadreach – dance awareness programme, and are important factors in developing dance with all sectors of the community.
