CoisCeim Broadreach Logo

BROADREACH was set up in 2006 in response to increasing demand for CoisCéim to offer outreach activities and for a continued need to promote a greater understanding and awareness of dance as an artform.  It is an integrated programme underpinning the performance work of the company and providing access and opportunity for people to experience and participate in dance.

Drawing on CoisCéim’s reputation of creating distinctive, enjoyable, challenging and accessible contemporary dance theatre, BROADREACH offers a range of dance initiatives which reflect and promote these key themes. As a dance resource led by experienced professional dance theatre practitioners, the programme seeks to work in partnership with other key organisations in formal and non-formal educational, social and artistic settings at a local and national level.

Exchange and integration are key concepts of BROADREACH with its aim to involve people of different ages, experiences and backgrounds. In partnership with other organisations, BROADREACH co-ordinates and leads a variety of dance projects, courses, classes and workshops. Each are planned and implemented in ways specific to context and chosen focus. Creativity and performance are an integral element of our outreach work and though not explicit, they are important factors in developing dance in different educational, performance, social and health settings.
