The ShoW

FAUN: running time 43 minutes approx. No interval.

Cast:  3 male, 3 female
Two heated dressing rooms required only. Access to showers.

STAGE and SET:
NB- (We will adapt to your space. Main width and depth are that of Project Arts Centre in Dublin where the show first opened)
A clean swept stage on entry with all lighting bars clear and lamps on the stage floor un less a pre-rig has been allowed.
Clean mops and hot water to be made available

The Set is made up of 7 rolls of white harlequin floor covered on the sides by black carpet . A wall stands approx 7 meters up stage centred. The wall is timber and perspex braced with scaffold .The Facia of the wall is glued white harlequin. The “header piece” of the wall must be picked up on steels for an extra safety precaution. Behind the wall, hung from the scaffold structure are 3 different cloths ( 2 X gauze and 1 X drape) suspended.

NB: The stage must be heated before the dancers warm up for class on the tech day and throughout the day as is required.

Stage DimensionS:
         Width – 14.5 meters X 9.8 meters Depth
         Setting line to downstage edge of wall – 7103mm
         Downstage edge of wall to rear drape – 2.5 meters

         Set Wall Dimensions – 7.10 meters long X 3.5 meters high X 2 meters deep

MaskinG:
Generally, up down masking along the wings forming a solid flat wall (booms sit onstage of these) two legs will come directly off the “set wall” (as a follow on into the wings). Approx 1 foot down stage and two foot off stage another set of legs running off stage creating an upstage point of access to the cast. Directly above the “set wall” a border with conduit set directly onto the wall.
LX borders: Mostly we use only three in total. In front of LX 1. Between LX 3+ 4 and another upstage of four if required. All is subject to your space and what is available.

Surface:
CoisCéim request that all stage is swept clear of any debris. No nails /screws protruding from floor.

For “TEC” session if the control desk is the auditorium 2 headset s should be on the table

SOUND:

A FOH position is required to run Faun. Please make your box office aware of this if it deducts seats.
Shows are run off Qlab. CoisCéim play their own pre-recorded Fire announcement. A PA system of high standards is preferred!

Original design and preferred set up:
8 aux sends, 6 stereo channels
        • Mid stage left speaker + mid stage right speaker- on the floor facing on stage/auditorium angle
        • Up stage centre on the floor
        • 1 speaker flown approx 1.8 meters upstage of “set wall” at 4.5 maters approx. (flying brackets required)
        • Two Subs placed either under the seating (preferred) or behind the proscenium arch.
        • Two rear auditorium speakers facing the stage (first thing to be cut if you are restricted)

LIGHTING:
Original design programmed on the “ETC ION”
Production Desk set up in auditorium for tech
10 Booms required: 4 onstage and two up stage of the “set wall”
Attached to your e mail should be a generic touring jpeg (PDF)
A drawing for your venue can be drawn on request and sent once Lisa Mahony has your venue specs

All Other Business:
Laundry facilities required after each performance.
The Floor must be mopped after each performance. (an orange is crushed on stage during Faun)
Access to all venue door codes relevant to CoisCéim staff is to be given to the stage director.
A safe lock up facility for all cast personal belongings and valuables or a key to the dressing rooms to be given to the stage director.




SCHEDULE
(2 Day fit up and show)

DAY 1: LX x 2 (12 hours), stage x 2 (8 hours)

10:00 – 12:00- LX – Rig Over Head

12:00- 13:00- LX- clear stage and move to booms etc
Stage – Load in and Lay floor
Sound – Run out

13:00- 14:00 - LX – Lunch
Stage – continue as required
Sound – as required

14:00- 18:00- LX – continue rig/numbers /set up for Focus
Stage – continue all set and finish masking .( break at 16:00 for one hour)

18:00- 19:00- LX Dinner

19:00- 21:45 – LX - FOCUS
Stage Crew break for the day

DAY 2:

10:00-12:00 - LX – continue as required in silence
Sound – Full sound check s-11:00- 12:00
Stage – continue in silence

12:00- 13:00- Stage – Clean down and prep for Cast warm up – HEATING ON
LX- as is required in work light.
Sound – as is required

13:00-14:00- CREW- Lunch
Cast – Warm up on stage

14:15- 17:00- TEC

17:00-17:30- additional notes- re focus

17:30- 18:30 – DINNER

18:30- 19:30- Pre set for show

20:00- Curtain up

22:00- 00:00- Load Out – 2 X Lx + 2 stage

CREW CALL:
